Hi guys, I just got a new cockatiel and I now she is less than a year old but they didn't know the months. Does anyone know how to estimate the age? She is still clumsy and has big eyes, but she is bigger in size than my other cockatiel which is 17 months old. She is the one on the left.

Your bird is defiantly a male, judging by the face mask and solid tail I'm confident it's no younger than a year. this is a picture of a female (left) and male (right) to show the difference.. Sadly eyes aren't a good indication of age as I myself have a few older birds with big eyes

The one on the right is about 17 months old in the picture. The one on the left I was told it was really young, they just couldn't tell me if he was 4 months old or like 7. But they also told me he was girl so... :)
