Yes my chicks Catherine, My camera was broken when they were alive so couldn't take any pictures and didn't want to start a thread without photos because everyone would be anxious to see them and I would have to disappoint them everyday until my camera decided to work ( dropped it in the fids bowl of water) and it finally dried out when I got home.. but when I got home all the babys were gone.. that is when I took the nest box and dug around and found mouse droppings and peices of baby bird! I just can't believe it and have been beside myself since.. too scared to let anyone know about it! I think I was more thinking about myself at that stage .. thinking you all would think of me of some silly irresponsible teenager and shouldn't own birds.. till I had the guts to tell Paul on chat and he told me we do not think that! He also gave me some helpful advice which I have taken into place.. I have paved under my aviary so mice can get it in!
I have missed you all, slowly making my way back! :)

We learn things at such a cost to our darling birds. But we do learn and others are saved as a result. That is where a forum like this is very important - for learning and teaching.
It would be good, maxtilly, if you would share what you have done to keep mice out. There are many others who need that information. Can you post some pictures of the measures you have taken?

I am really sorry. That was a ghastly experience while you were looking for the babies. My sincerest condolences. :hug2:
