It pains me deeply to report this, but yesterday, I lost my beloved Lovebird. I had her out playing with her and having a good time yesterday morning. I left to go to a job interview around 9:30 and when I returned around 11, I went to get her back out, she was my shoulder buddy, and I found her lying face down in the bottom of her cage. I can't help but blame myself, as I was going to take her with me. I decided at the last minute to leave her here. I now regret that decision. She showed no signs of illness, so her death baffles me. I should have taken her with me, because if she was sick and going to pass, I could have been there with her and she wouldn't have had to go alone. She was in a cage with 2 cockatiels and a budgie, but they were all good friends, so I can't imagine that they would have killed her, as when picking was going on, it was usually her doing the picking. I am at a loss here, I don't think I will ever fully know what happened to her, or why.

Fly free my sweet precious little baby girl. I will miss all of our bedtime snuggles, your sweet little chirp and your precious kissable little face. You are flying free over that Rainbow Bridge now, but you will never be forgotten. You were loved by all who met you. She was hard not to fall in love with the first time you met her. She was unlike many lovebirds, as they are known for being nippy. She wouldn't have bit you, unless playing, for anything in the world. She was truly unique and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Please keep us in thought as this loss has impacted my whole family and many friends.

Requiescat in pace, little darling. :dropwings:
