Hi George :hello: and :welcome: to Totally Tiels. :D
Goku is a pied tiel and, unfortunately, you can't visually sex pieds. However, there are other ways of determining their sex. Do you know how old Goku is? Does he/she whistle or just screech? Sorry for the delay in replying, I had a lot of spammers to ban and delete their posts.

Sounds like a hen George, but do you know how old it is? Also, if you've only had it for a few days, it might not yet feel comfortable enough to start whistling. They can take a couple of weeks to settle in and show their personality.

I think him/her is around 6 month old, I've only had goku for just over 2 weeks , Gokus started whistling abit more recently will try get a video to post, I got him out the cage for the first time today though and he tried to fly and couldn't :/ do they need to learn how ? I don't know if it's ever been out of the cage before

Thanks for that George. I can now tell you that Goku is 100% male both from the whistling and the way he struts. As for not flying, he may have his wings clipped. Are you able to get a pic of him with his wings out?
