Hey.
I bought this Cockatiel 2 days ago and pet shop owner told me my Cockatiel is female and around 8-9 month old .
but after she eats she starts singing and if i whistle she continue singing . she also scream but she can sing very nicely .

never had Cockatiel before but it feels like a male . actually i wanted a female because i dont want too much noise and i already have 2 budgies .

i appreciate some help about my Cockatiel gender and age .

:welcome: to Totally Tiels Ame :hello:
Your little tiel looks like a juvenile male pearl starting to lose his pearls. Are you able to post a video of his singing & whistling?

thank you .
are you sure he is young ? i like him to be young but he is not very interested in exploring his cage or even coming out of his cage. he doesn't like moving .

Definitely a young male. I can tell he's young because the markings on him is pearling and males start losing their pearls during their first molt at about 6 months.
Because you've only had him a few days, he might be a bit scared to come out of his cage or explore. It can take them a week or 2 to settle into their new home. Just be patient and talk to him.
