I think it may be female I have owned a male tiel now for almost 10 years and my new tiel that I have doesn't act or seem as active as my male. He/she will sit quietly for hours I have got him/her stepping up and climbing up me to sit on my shoulder where he/she will remain for hours he/she only seems to chirp when something annoys them, he/she does nibble a bit if I go to stroke there head but that's because they don't trust me yet and its still early days I have only had him/her 3 months and was told they was 9 months old. I got a bit upset the other day because a falcon was on the TV heading towards a glove with meat on and it really panicked him/her!

But anyway, here is a video/sound clip of them making sounds, nothing like my male cockatiel chirp or sounds he makes which made me wonder.. :)/>/>/>
